Mini Perfume Consultation (for alcohol-based perfumes only)

Come in for a 75-minute consultation to select up to nine ingredients for your perfume. You are offered a sniff of several of each base, heart, and head notes, beginning with the base notes. You can choose up to three from each category and watch as I create and blend the formula right in front of you. You will be asked to sniff along the way, working with the original idea (ie: 'let's feature the Champa note in this perfume') or (ie: 'I love citrus and florals, so let's focus on that') until we find the right combination of essences. Your formula will be blended into Perfumers' Alcohol and decanted into a 1 oz bottle. Your Personal Perfume (also called Signature Scent or Bespoke Perfume) will need to mature for a month in a cool dark place to bring out all the magic in the potion. Natural perfumes continue to evolve and age over time.

From one person to another, they also smell differently on the skin; so buying a perfume for someone else is not advised. To that end, we offer Gift Certificates.

Prepayment of $150.00 is required to proceed. A receipt is given along with the finished product.

Lyn & I set up a mutually convenient time to meet in respects to customizing a personal scent. Once there, Lyn already had a sample starter perfume to build on for my special scent from the brief I sent her and the form I filled out. Having our noses lead the way, a few drops of lavender, a drop of geranium, drops of Champa, a few of sandalwood, just to name some. It's always fun to discover what's around the next corner when staying in the moment for a creation of this kind. Hence, that's how I came up with the name for the perfume "Now". Lyn also printed out a lovely label for my personal perfume.

Lyn's extensive knowledge on essential oils sure helped when combining them to make a perfume. It takes a professional like Lyn who enthusiastically creates a one of a kind scent for her client. I now feel like a whole being on all levels with my new fragrance. Great experience!! Thanks, Lyn

Come in for a ninety-minute initial consultation and together we will begin to build your own natural creative fragrance. (also called Personal Perfume, Signature Scent, or Bespoke Perfume). Personal Perfume Consultation Form

I will then set to work and formulate our ideas, making a few samples for you to assess. There is another hour-long consultation to evaluate the samples and make any adjustments to the perfume so it is just right for you. A 2 oz glass atomizer contains your special creation in Perfumers' Alcohol.

Comment:

I came to Lyn with a challenge to recreate a natural version of my favourite scent. I was tired of the overpowering chemical odour that permeates commercial perfumes these days, so I was looking for a more natural way.

First of all, the process that Lyn takes, with a challenge such as this, is with loving fervour and determination. We had a fun time matching scents, right on the spot. Lyn really knows her stuff when it comes to herbals and natural scents. I trust her judgment completely and was ready to just let her take creative control, however Lyn kept me in the loop by having me try a few scents until I chose the scent that suited me just right.

I am still surprised at how wonderful the scent is and that it smells so very similar to the commercial brand. Although the commercial brand lingers seemingly endlessly, there is always that hint of chemical. However, with Lyn's natural version of perfume, the scent is always honest, fresh, and natural.

Knowing how lovingly Lyn produces the final product makes me wear my scent with confidence and pleasure. Thanks, Lyn!
